Hi there
Just wanted to say welcome to friends of Carmella's over at Southern Fried Gal. I hope that you will stick around and browse my older posts for some great decorating and design ideas. Recently I have focused almost entirely on Willow House postings but I am working now to get a good balance of decorating and design Ideas as well as posting deals and Willow House specials. I really really hate for anyone to miss out on a good deal!! I will be throwing in an occasional recipe or personal post as well.
I learned of Willow House from Carmella and am honored to be taking over for her with all of you. Although no one can fill her shoes, I would love to be your new Willow House consultant. I love the product and love people, I believe customer service seems to be a dying thing in our world so I always strive to provide you with the very best in customer service I can. It is because of our hostesses and customers that Willow House even exists, so I will honor you and always be thankful for your business.
As I read Carmella's post today I read with tears in my eyes. I felt as if someone just trusted me with their new baby and am both sad and grateful for the honor. Sad that she is no longer my director and honored that she feels me worthy to assume the task ahead. I have no doubt in my mind that meeting Carmella was totally designed by God and I treasure her. Are you suffering from the winter blahs?

I love the first snow of the year, the kind where everything looks pristine and clean, even a bit bright, but when it starts to melt and the world turns dull and gray, I get a bit antsy for spring. Now I know I cannot complain, because I was blessed to get away to sunny Cancun and bask in the warmth and the sun, but it's been a week and we are now back to reality and winter. I started thinking if I didn't go away, what could I do to resist the winter blues? Here is my list:
1. Start a project that you have been meaning to get to
2. Paint a wall a bright cheery color
3. Bar b q a traditional summer meal
4. Go to a tanning salon( I know, not for everyone) get a spray tan.
5. Wander through stores that are just putting out new spring lines.
(I did this today and the colors for spring are gorgeous. Turquoise, oranges, yellows, and bright pinks.) It was uplifting to surround myself with all of that color.
6. Bundle up and take a walk. Fresh air is good for the soul.
7. Have a party. (winter can seem long but if you have something to look forward to it helps)
8. Make a meal for someone weekly for a time. Focusing on helping others is a great thing.
9. Paint your finger nails a bright summery color or go get a pedicure.
10. "Summer up" a room in your home. Open the curtains even on a dark day. Change dark throws and pillow to lighter colored throws and pillows, add a fresh flower bouquet filled with bright yellow tulips or your favorite spring flowers. Burn a coconut scented candle or one in your favorite summer scent.
I bet you could add many many more ideas to this list and I would love to hear them.

Cute project

Wanted to share with you this cute playhouse I made for my grandson for Christmas. It is made out of felt and fits over a card table. It was a lot of work but oh so fun to watch Ezra play in it. I got the pattern from a fun site on etsy called Little Miss Pretty. She has some great kits and patterns for both boys and girls and if you do not sew you can also buy them ready made. We are back from a wonderful vacation in sunny Cancun. We went with dear friends and we laughed and relaxed and laughed and had spa days and baked in the sun and laughed some more. It was relaxing and glorious!!

Hope the year is off to a wonderful start for all of you. We spent the new year at Lake Chelan with all of our children, grandson and great friends. It is a yearly event that we have done since our children were young and now we have added the next generation. It was a blast but I am still recovering from too much fun and not enough sleep.
I am starting the year off really working hard on my Willow House business. I am trying to earn a trip and would love for you to bear with me as I use my blog to share all of our amazing products with you over the next few months. I will be highlighting special deals like the weekly deals and the outlet specials as well as highlighting some of our products and give you tips on how to use them or display them in your home too.

I made this yummy looking dessert for my husband's staff dinner. Can I just say...

If you are looking for something a bit different than the usual pies for christmas dinner dessert this is a must try.

Pecan Praline Dessert

Read through all directions before starting

Ingredients

2 cups cream-filled chocolate sandwich cookie crumbs
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup chopped pecans
PRALINE:
1-1/2 cups butter, cubed
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
FILLING:
2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
GANACHE:
2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup heavy whipping cream
Pecan halves( I toasted these for 10 min in a 350 degree oven)

Directions

In a small bowl, combine cookie crumbs and butter. Press onto the bottom of a greased 9-in. springform pan. Place on a baking sheet. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes. Cool on a wire rack. Sprinkle with pecans.

In a large saucepan over medium heat, bring butter and brown sugar to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Remove from the heat; stir in vanilla. Pour over pecans. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours or until set.

In a large bowl, beat filling ingredients until smooth. Spread over praline layer. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours or until set.

For ganache, place chocolate chips in a small bowl. In a small saucepan, bring cream just to a boil. Pour over chocolate; whisk until smooth. Spread over filling. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours or until set.

Carefully run a knife around edge of pan to loosen; remove sides of pan. Garnish with pecan halves. Refrigerate leftovers.

My friend Carmella over at Southern Fried Gal is having a Christmas Door linky party. Her door is beautiful and very festive. You should head over and take a peek, Not one to miss a party, I thought I would join in.

Here is my door in the daytime

The night view:

I used fresh pine and cedar garland and wove lights and sparkly green tulle through it. Them I hung the trio of ornaments from my Willow House store in it to add a spot of color.

On the left of the door is the Botanica tiered planter also from Willow House in it I used pieces of another cedar garland to fill each basket. I added the welcome sign on the bottom and a small bird and birds' nest to the top tier.

The mat was a bunco prize and my Snowman was from a great shop I worked in years ago. Both or my garlands were $5.00 black friday deal from Home Depot and the tulle ribbon was a clearance item awhile back. Proof that you can get a lot of pizazz for not a lot of money.

And just for fun, I had my sweet Grandson here all weekend and he loved Grandma's tree. Here is a picture to make you smile.

My Tree and tree decorating tips

Just got the tree done and wanted to share it with you. Be sure and scroll down to see my tips for decorating your tree like a pro.

My favorite view, I am really loving how it turned out this year

Now for some tips on how you can decorate your tree like a pro!

1) Start by making sure all the branches are fluffed if it is not a real tree.

2) Make sure all lights are working before putting them on the tree.( this will save you lots of hours of frustration)

3 )Next decorate in layers

4) Start with your ribbon and fabrics

I like to use fabrics to fill in where branches are sparse.

5) Next work on the top display. Break away from just an angel or star on top. Use unexpected items like floral or branches, glitter picks, etc to create a unique and elegant tree top.

6) Next add your balls and ornaments. Start at the top and work your way down in a pattern around the tree so items are evenly spaced.

7) Finish by adding some floral picks or sprays or even berries to fill in the areas that need it.

The important thing is to have fun, use what you already have, go through your fabric and craft boxes and see what might be able to be used. Old snow shoes, Skates, Mittens, Stuffed toys. I have been known to undo floral arrangements that look tired and use the parts in the tree. I have seen tress done with Kitchen items like spatulas and wisks.You would be surprised what works

Decorating my tree today

My Husband must have read my tree buying tips post yesterday. He came home last night with a new pre lit 7 1/2' tree. I was surprised. We have talked about "going to the dark side" for the past two years but never seemed to find the "perfect" tree. This is the first unreal tree we have ever had in all of our married years. I must say though, I am looking forward to not having to water a real one and with new carpet the water issue was a big factor. This tree is so beautiful, you really have to touch it to tell it isn't real. I am just starting to decorate it so I thought I would give you a sneak peek.

Christmas tree buying tips

Before you head out to purchase your Christmas tree, artificial or real, there area few tips to help you so you don't end up with one that is too big or too small for your space. Many of us have done this before, you are in a lot and spot the perfect tree, you get it home and it seemed to have grown on the way. That is because when they are all together in the great outdoors, it is easy to think they are smaller than they really are. Here are some things to help so that doesn't happen to you.
1) you want to choose one that is at least 6" shorter than your ceiling. The standard height is 8ft so you would then want to choose a 7-7 1/2 foot tree
2) Measure the width of the space you are putting the tree then measure the width of the tree you want to bring home to be sure it will fit your space. I can't tell you how many times I have had to "shave" branches to make it fit into the corner I had planned.
3) how will you be decorating it? if you have lots of ornaments, be sure there is some space between the branches to show off your ornaments. If you use lots of fabrics and ribbons the extra space is nice. If you are into more of a sparsely decorated tree, closer branch spacing may be better for you. Personally for me the fuller the better and I still load that baby up with all kinds of fabrics,picks and ornaments etc.
4) If buying real be sure to cute at least 1/2 inch off the trunk before putting in the tree stand. Water as soon after cutting as you can and water daily.
5) bottom line is buy a tree you love and have fun.

Chuck Wagon Chili

Mine, still in the dutch oven

Recently watched Emeril on Good Morning America and he made this chili. I decided to give it a try and let me tell you it is on the "list" to make again. It was amazing so here is the recipe for you.

1/4 cup chili powder

2 tablespoons whole cumin seeds
1 teaspoon cayenne
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

2 teaspoons dried Mexican or regular oregano, crumbled between your fingers
3 bay leaves
2 teaspoons light or dark brown sugar
4 pounds boneless beef chuck, trimmed and cut into 1 1/2- to 2- inch cubes
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 1/2 tablespoons kosher salt
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 medium onions, coarsely chopped (about 4 cups)
1 1/2 cups chopped celery, including leaves
6 cloves garlic, roughly chopped
2 jalapeno chiles, roughly chopped
One 12- ounce bottle dark Mexican beer, such as Negro Modelo
2 tablespoons tomato paste
One 28- ounce can crushed tomatoes
1 ounce semisweet chocolate, coarsely chopped
3 tablespoons masa harina (corn flour, not cornstarch)
1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves
1/2 cup chopped fresh parley leaves
Grated cheddar cheese, for garnish
Chopped green onion, for garnish
Sour cream, for garnish

Cooking Directions

Combine the chili powder, cumin seeds, cayenne, cinnamon, oregano, bay leaves, and brown

sugar in a small bowl; set the spice mixture aside.

Add the beef to a medium bowl and season with the pepper and 1 tablespoon of the kosher salt.

Heat 2 tablespoons of the vegetable oil in a 12- inch or larger skillet over high heat. Add enough beef to fill the pan and cook until nicely browned on one side, about 2 minutes. Turn the pieces over and cook for another 2 minutes. Transfer the browned beef to the crock of a 6- quart slow cooker. Repeat with the remaining beef, adding the remaining vegetable oil between batches as necessary.

Add the onions, celery, and 1 tablespoon of the remaining salt to the skillet and cook, stirring, until the vegetables begin to soften, about 2 minutes. Add the garlic, jalapenos, and spice mixture and cook for 1 minute longer. Pour in the beer, tomato paste, and crushed tomatoes and simmer for 3 minutes.

Stir in the chocolate, masa harina, and remaining 11/2 teaspoons salt and cook for 1 minute longer. Transfer this mixture to the slow cooker. Cover and cook the chili on high, undisturbed or stirring only once during cooking, for 6 hours, or until the beef is very tender. Remove the bay leaves and stir in the cilantro and parsley. Serve the chili hot in bowls, topped with grated cheddar, chopped green onion, and sour cream.

It was flavorful and delicious and we loved it

Amazing Pumpkin Bread

My friend Amanda over at Serenity Now posted this amazing looking Pumpkin Bread recipe yesterday that had me drooling. It has nutella and cream cheese and pumpkin too. Are you drooling yet? You can get the recipe from her blog but let me tell you what I did with it. She baked it in a loaf pan and swirled the cream cheese filling in to the batter both in the middle and on the top. Because I can never follow a recipe exactly here is what I did. I decided to put it in a bundt pan. I filled it half way with batter and then spooned the filling into the middle of the batter so it made a tunnel through the cake, then topped with remaining batter. Then I took the remaining filling and swirled it into the top of the cake (which will be the bottom when flipped on to a plate)
Then once cooled I topped it with the remaining nutella that I had warmed slightly to a pourable consistency. I am telling you this is an amazing cake/bread. Thank you Amanda for the recipe.

This is a revised post from back awhile. It has been a busy week for me (Willow House and new clients are keeping me hopping) I thought I would visit the archives to find a post filled with great information and encouragement that some of my new followers would find helpful.( and if I am honest, to save myself some time :)

Get creative in your home decorating.

Mix things up a bit. Just because you have always had that item in that room, doesn't mean it needs to stay there. Often times when I have moved a chair from the living room to the family room for instance it looks new again. Same thing goes for a picture or other wall art. I recently moved a pair of wrought iron sconces out of the family room into the living room. When my girlfriends came over (who had been here many many times) they all thought I had gotten something new. It really can make a difference and revive the way you feel about your home. Don't be afraid to get creative and just mix it up a bit. Paint that wall, recover that chair, change the furniture around. Do not let your fear limit you or your creativity.

Another great idea would be to use an ottoman for a coffee table in front of your sofa. It can soften the feel in the room just by making that one change. For great looking ottoman or other items that might work for you, check out www.lovethedecor.com/footstools-and-benches

Pumpkin Pound Cake

I was searching for a pumpkin pound cake recipe, finding none, I decided to create my own

Ingredients

1/2 pound (2 sticks) butter

3 cups sugar

1 cup sour cream

1 15 oz can pumpkin (unsweetened)

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1-2 tsp cinnamon depending on your pesonal preference

1/2 tsp ground ginger

1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice

6 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together. Add the sour cream and pumpkin and mix until incorporated. Sift the baking soda and flour together, mix in spices. Add to the creamed mixture alternating with eggs, beating each egg 1 at a time. Add the vanilla and pour the mixture into a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan I used a Bundt pan. Bake for 1 hour 20 minutes. While still warm, remove from pan and glaze with pumpkin icing(recipe below)

Pumpkin glaze:
2 cups powdered sugar
2-3 Tablespoons or more Pumpkin spice flavored coffee creamer.
Mix to a glaze consistancy and drizzle over warm cake
Enjoy
this cake actually is moister and more flavorful the next day but is great warm too!

Pumpkin Cornbread

Just had to share you a recipe I tried last night for pumpkin cornbread. Maybe it sounds a bit odd, but let me tell you it is delish!! We had it with a big pot of Chicken Tortilla Soup and it was a wonderful dinner.
Pumpkin Cornbread

Ingredients:

1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 Tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cup cornmeal
2 large eggs
1 cup unsweetened pumpkin puree (canned or freshly cooked and processed)
2/3 cup light brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup canola oil
1 Tablespoon molasses

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Grease 10-inch glass pie pan or 9-inch square baking pan.

2. Sift flours, baking powder, salt and spices into a large mixing bowl. Whisk in cornmeal.

3. In separate bowl, beat eggs lightly. Whisk in pumpkin, brown sugar, oil and molasses.

4. Make a well in the dry mixture. Add pumpkin mixture and blend batter with a few quick strokes (just until blended- don't over-mix).

5. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 30 minutes, or until cornbread is browned and the surface has a slightly springy feel.

Found this recipe on a blog called Recipe Girl She uses Bob's Red Mill Coarse corn meal I just used regular corn meal and it was delicious. We topped it with honey and butter YUM!!

1. Do you feel fall in the air at your house??
Until this past week I would have said yes but we have had a warm streak and everyday has been at least 100 degrees

2. Do you feel like your decorating preferences in color and style have changed over the last ten years?
My taste is always changing. As a decorator I love the change in style and color but I remain overall traditional as my favorite design style.

3. What is your favorite fall scent that you enjoy in your home?? Do you use candles, reeds, sprays or how do you add scent to your world?

THis time of year my favorite is Yankee candle scent Spiced Pumpkin. I love my home to smell good so I always have scentsy pots or reed diffusers and candles everywhere

4. What is your favorite thing about fall?? More than ONE? I love the hot days and cooler nights and the changing colors

5. Are you excited that FOOTBALL is back???

Recipe time

Tropical Banana Bread

3 bananas mashed

1/2 cup oil

1/2 butter

1 cup sugar

2 eggs

1/2 cup vanilla greek yogurt ( or 1/2 c buttermilk)

2 C flour

1 tsp soda

1tsp salt

1 cup coconut

1 cup crushed pineapple

1/2 c walnuts ( or macadamia nuts if you have them)

cream sugar and oil and butter add bananas,eggs, yougurt

Add flour,soda,salt mix well then fold in coconut pineapple and nuts

pour into 2 loaf pans and bake for 30-40 min at 350 ( I put it in a bundt pan at 325 for 45 min)

Top with your favorite cream cheese icing but use pineapple juice for the liquid in it

Enjoy!!

Decorating the space above cabinets

I loved these great tips from Pier 1 for decorating that wonderful space above our kitchen cabinets.

It always helps to measure the space from cabinet-top to the ceiling so you know what will fit.

If you have something taller than that space, maybe it can be tilted against the wall. If you have small pieces that will look dwarfed in that space, you have an excuse to go shopping. We, of course, recommend checking out Pier 1 for trays, serving bowls, chargers, vases and other oversized décor—you’ll find something to fit in perfectly.

When we asked our own designers to decorate above a cabinet, they took the assignment in three different directions—fresh & fruity, beach house natural and tropical color. Even though each look is different, you can see the tricks that work for all three displays:

Cool & Collected: This is the place for your favorite collection. Is it novelty plates? Antique cookie jars? Mouth-blown glass bottles? Hand-woven baskets? Put it out there. Your collection is the theme for your display. It’s what makes it special. Best of all, you can fill in any gaps with new purchases. Sounding good already, huh?

Pull it all together: Maybe your theme is a color or material that gets repeated throughout your display. Spots of red unify our tropical vignette. Natural fibers like rattan and wood are repeated in the beach house setting. Or you can arrange garland or ivy along the length of the cabinet top to visually link everything.

Create focal points: Remember, everything will be viewed from a distance so it’s important to have a few bold, oversized items. (Or do what we did: set a tray on end to create height.) Tall items will draw the eye up and become natural focal points. Then you can set smaller pieces in front for an artful arrangement that avoids looking random or too formal.

Make it easy on yourself: For naturally colorful touches, use silk florals and sculptured fruit instead of fresh. This will keep you from having to climb a step stool every couple of days.

In season: We know people who change their entire display with each season. But if you have everything just the way you like it, simply add a few things for an instant update. It could be as easy as mixing in a summer garden lantern, then replacing it with a harvest wreath for autumn. And with Pier 1 holiday décor, you can always find pieces to make your display sparkle.

If you live in an older home, chances are you have soffits—filled-in areas between the tops of cabinets and the ceiling. We think this is no excuse to not decorate. In fact, we think you’re in possession of prime display space.

With some wire plate hangers from the hardware store, you can show off a collection of hand-painted plates or blue & white porcelain. Mix in a wall clock or a small, wrought-iron accent piece. Really, the options are wide open here. Look around Pier 1’s wall décor collection and you’ll get a few new ideas in no time.

Purples, grays, and beiges are popping up everywhere. The trend to "warm" gray up a bit has created a blend of gray and beige, that some are calling "greige".

At the Willow House convention I recently attended, this color combo was alive and well. The designers had several vignettes done in those colors and I must admit I like it!!! Though I have never been much of a gray fan, the combination and accessories used in the displays make it seem fun, warm, and inviting. Not really words I would have used in the past to describe gray. I would love to hear your thoughts on the new combination of color. Are you a gray fan? what about purple? Beige too boring for your taste?

How do you work the new trendy colors into your decorating? do you go crazy and change everything or do you find a few key pieces to add in to update the look? Let me know.

Meeting blogging buddies

I am so blessed to be able to attend our Annual Willow Convention last week. I learned so much and made many new friends. I will be sharing more about that soon, but I wanted to share with you that I had a chance to meet two delightful blog buddies in person. The first night in Atlanta I met the ever cheerful Theresa from theycallmeganky. She has become a treasured friend and one of my very best Willow House customers!! We had never met in person but we have been blogging friends for awhile now. We laughed when we saw each other... look at us. Can you say twins : ) sorry for the blurry pix my camera and the lighting did not cooperate very well.

She was delightful and funny and the sweetest person. I felt as if we already knew each other and it was a wonderful evening filled with laughter, food. and fun and getting to know even more about each other.

She even surprised me with some beautiful treasures. A journal, mug, a beautiful angel pin and chocolate yum!! I was feeling bad that I was so busy getting ready for my trip that I didn't even think about a gift for her.

The next morning I got to meet yet another blog buddy for breakfast. Pam from Late to the Party

I first "met" Pam through a blog swap and soon came to realize that we had so much in common. She is also sweet, funny and delightful and my Hero. You see Pam has recently lost more than 100 pounds and she looks terrific. I am so proud of her and I was so blessed to finally meet her in person. My only regret with these two special ladies is, that the time went much too quickly. ( and that I did not think of giving them gifts) I could have visited both for hours and hours.

If you get a chance to visit a blog friend in person I highly recommend it. My life is richer with both of them in it!!

that July is National Blueberry month? I love them!! I eat them fresh or frozen, in cakes and in smoothies too.
Here is a great recipe using fresh or frozen blueberries

Lemon Blueberry Cake

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tsp baking powder

dash salt

1 1/4 cup vanilla yogurt ( I like to use lemon yogurt when I can find it)

1 cup sugar

3 eggs

1/3 cup canola oil

2 tsp grated lemon zest

1 tsp pure vanilla extract

1 cup fresh blueberries + 2 tsp flour
( I use 1 1/2 C blueberries)

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a bread loaf pan. In a bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. In a separate large bowl, whisk together the yogurt, sugar, eggs, canola oil, lemon zest, and vanilla extract. Add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and whisk until batter is smooth. Sprinkle 2 tsp flour over blueberries and toss to coat. This will prevent them from sinking to the bottom of the cake. Carefully fold blueberries into the cake batter. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 45-50 minutes, or until toothpick tester comes out clean.

Lemon Simple Sugar:

1/3 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

1/3 cup sugar

In a small sauce pan over medium heat, stir together the lemon juice and sugar. Cook until the sugar dissolves completely. Turn off heat and set aside.

When the cake is done, remove it to a wire rack and run a knife along the edges of the pan to loosen. Allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Carefully transfer cake to wire baking rack on top of a sheet pan. Pour the lemon simple sugar mixture over the cake and allow it to soak in. Let cake cool.

Vanilla Glaze:

3/4 cup powdered sugar

1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract

milk, as needed

In a small bowl, stir together the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and enough milk to make a thin pourable consistency. Pour over the luke warm cake and let it run down the sides. Transfer to a serving platter, slice and enjoy!

Just back from Atlanta where I went for a Willow House convention. It was a blast and my head is spinning with so much to share!! I also got to meet meet a few blogging friends in person. So much to share with you but I need to catch up a bit here on the home front after being away for 6 days. I will post pictures and share lots of fun info with you in the days ahead. Today I will make a difference. I will begin by controlling my thoughts. A person is the product of his thoughts. I want to be happy and hopeful. Therefore, I will have thoughts that are happy and hopeful. I refuse to be victimized by my circumstances. I will not let petty inconveniences such as stoplights, long lines, and traffic jams be my masters. I will avoid negativism and gossip. Optimism will be my companion, and victory will be my hallmark.

Today I will make a difference.

I will be grateful for the twenty-four hours that are before me. Time is a precious commodity. I refuse to allow what little time I have to be contaminated by self-pity, anxiety, or boredom. I will face this day with the joy of a child and the courage of a giant. I will drink each minute as though it is my last. When tomorrow comes, today will be gone forever. While it is here, I will use it for loving and giving.

Today I will make a difference.

I will not let past failures haunt me. Even though my life is scarred with mistakes, I refuse to rummage through my trash heap of failures. I will admit them. I will correct them. I will press on. Victoriously. No failure is fatal. It’s OK to stumble… . I will get up. It’s OK to fail… . I will rise again.

Today I will make a difference.

I will spend time with those I love. My spouse, my children, my family. A man can own the world but be poor for the lack of love. A man can own nothing and yet be wealthy in relationships. Today I will spend at least five minutes with the significant people in my world. Five quality minutes of talking or hugging or thanking or listening. Five undiluted minutes with my mate, children, and friends.

Today I will make a difference!!
