I am linking up with Karen from Some days are Diamonds today for the Doors of Welcome event. We are all showing off our doors dressed up and ready for fall and Thanksgiving. My porch doesn't change a great deal from Halloween to Thanksgiving, however I did add a few more fallish color to the wreath and put it on the door instead of the side wall. I also added a pillow to bring in a bit more color.
You know, you only get one chance to make a great first impression. This applies to your home too. Many times we are so concerned about the inside of our homes, we forget that the front porch or front door is actually the first thing people see of our home. So dress it up for the seasons and let it speak a warm welcome to your visiting friends and neighbors!
Welcome to my front porch... Door color: Sherwin Williams Red Barn SW7591. Enjoy looking and come on in for a cup of coffee
I would love to sit and chat with you!
Debbie, your door looks great. Very pretty and welcoming. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea, I always enjoy seeing how people choice to bedeck their entryways for the holidays (especially since I live in an apartment and can't paint or decorate the outside of mine - I need to live vicariously through the doors of other ;D). Your door is beautiful, Debbie, especially the festively wonderful wreath!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for all of your lovely comments, sweet dear. I really hope you're having a gorgeous weekend!

I love a great door! I really do! That is the ONE thing I think I miss about living in a house vs. an apartment. These are great!
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie, Love your red door. I used to have a red door and gray house in my old neighborhood and now that we are getting ready to paint this house I may go back to that color scheme. Have always loved a red door. Thanks so much for visiting The Vintage Nest. Hope to see you often. ~ Lynn
ReplyDeleteThe color of your front door is beautiful and the wreath compliments it so well! I agree about spending so much time decorating the inside of our house and forgeting the front door! Thanks for reminding us to spend a little more time decorating the outside too!
ReplyDeleteNow the trick will be to make it as beautiful as yours!
