It all started when I walked by these office storage items at Walmart on clearance. My mind started going..they're cute, but
so plain, hmm I really could use some organizing in my "office" area. But, they're
so plain. Then I remembered some tissue paper I had picked up a while back for $1.00 and all of the modge podge hoopla around blog land, and I bought them and got busy.
And ... the finished product
I love them! I have some magazine holders from IKEA to refinish...someday.
ReplyDeleteDon't give up on Modge Podge yet...working with it and tissue paper together is impossible! I learned that when I made my Leopard Pumpkins recently...and I use MP all the time. Will never do it again with tissue paper. Hope that helps. :)
There are photo boxes at Michaels that would look awesome with your boxes. I can't see any imperfections :)
ReplyDeleteThey look cute! I would think tissue paper being so thin would be difficult to work with. They still look good!
ReplyDeleteThose are really cute! It looks like you did a good job.
ReplyDeleteReally cute...I so many house projects I need to get done and no time...you always inspire me
ReplyDeleteLove these! They are gorgeous!

ReplyDeletePerfection is overrated ;) - I think you did a great job! Cute!
ReplyDeleteThose look super cute! How did you get the tissue paper to go on SO well?
ReplyDeleteThey look great! I love the pattern, so much fun. :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE that paper! You did great, they look wonderful. I just redid all the storage boxes in my craft studio with old book pages and I'm really loving the change. Mod Podge rocks!
ReplyDeleteLove them! they match your blog background!!
ReplyDeleteCUTE! I love it! I have issues with MP too. I can't ever get all of the bubbles out without ripping the paper. You did a great job! Love that paper!
ReplyDeleteI think they're cute! I've never mod podged before, but maybe the tissue is harder than regular paper. Can't wait to see them in your office!
ReplyDeleteI really like the tissue paper you used. And you can't beat a $1. Boxes are not easy to work with. They look fine. Did you think about maybe putting a solid color tissue paper inside the bins? Just a thought. :) Thanks for sharing. Now I want to Mod Podge something lol. Have a great weekend.

Love the pattern. I have been wanting to MP for years & just have not gotten to it. Visiting from SITS; belated congratulations on your SITS day. Nice to meet you!
ReplyDeleteBest,
Colleen
These are stunning, so graphic and elegant! I love that you used tissue paper as lately I've found so many beautiful designs at the stores. It's nice that tissue paper is larger than scrapbook paper so you can cover larger things easily. Would love you to join me at A Crafty Soiree, every Thursday.
ReplyDeleteWonderful - I love these!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the paper you used on these! They are so much cuter now!
ReplyDeleteLove this idea. What a great use of tissue paper, it looks so pretty. Please stop by my blog on Sunday to share this amazing project with my followers at my Show Off Sunday Party. :)
