Country Living Magazine Photo Sept 2010 issue What caught my attention about this photo was the wall design. With the resurgence of wallpaper, I am often drawn to different wall treatments. Upon further inspection, I found that this is not wallpaper but paint. No it is not a stencil either. It is painted on with a special paint roller that is unique in it's make up. It is designed by a company called rollerwall.com They have many designs and styles available and a how to guide as well. I have not used this product but as far as I can tell, it looks like you saturate the foam roller with your paint then snap on the patterned roller. As you use the roller it picks up the color and distributes the design on to your wall. The article in CL magazine did say that one should practice a few times on paper before applying to the wall Just look at some of the patterns available and remember these are just patterns you can use any color you like! If you are not a wallpaper fan, but appreciate pattern on your walls, this may be an option for you. Let me know your thoughts and if any of you have used this product. |

Paint or Wallpaper?
If you have seen the recent issue of Country Living Magazine then you probably have seen this:
I saw this too and loved it! It would be so much easier to change the room after one tires of the pattern. I have looked at some stencils for the new house, since I love the look of wallpaper, but so dislike removing it. This would be so much better! Anxious to hear if any of your readers have tried it!

Wow, I wasn't aware of this. Thanks for sharing. I know wallpaper is "coming back", but I'd rather avoid it if possible!

I have that magazine but haven't looked at it yet! I love the pink one:) Have a blessed day and thanks for the tip! HUGS!
ReplyDeleteOMG, Debbie, get out of my head! : ) I have the same post scheduled to go up this morning! I will delete mine though because we are both basically saying the same thing. Just goes to show that you need to post when you draft and that's the last time I wait for the company to get back to me about a giveaway to go along with the post!
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie! loving your blog:) That is really neat...gotta be much easier than wallpapering and definately cheaper!
ReplyDeleteDebbie,
ReplyDeleteIt really does look like wallpaper. I have always loved paper, but I am a vintage kind of girl. I have both paint and paper in my house, a nice blend, I think :)
t looks good but I imagine very tricky to get right.
ReplyDeleteThat is pretty darned amazing. I think you need to try it for us!
